The Green Airliner Singapore Expands Further with the Appointment of CFO and Director
The Green Airliner Singapore (TGAS) has hired two women executives to take on the role of Chief Finance Officer and Director respectively.
Sophie Khau was appointed CFO and Vice-President of The Green Airliner Singapore. Her appointment will take effect in February 2016. Also joining the team is Tricia Lee, who started her role as Director on 2 January 2016.
Ms. Khau said: “I am looking forward to leveraging our strength and expertise in aeronautical asset management, financial structuring and ties with the investor community to bring innovative and bespoke solutions to the fast growing capital intensive aerospace industry”.
Ms. Lee said: “The growing aerospace industry provides an opportunity for me to ensure the adequacy of the company’s financials and making sure that they are in line with our broader strategy.”
Francois Dubrulle, President and CEO of The Green Airliner in Singapore said: “In line with our expansion plans in Asia, we are very pleased to name our two latest hires. They are both extremely talented and I’m looking forward to growing our business in Asia further as we seek to offer smart capital to large commercial aircraft owners and MROs in Singapore and the region.”
Ms. Khau draws her experience from investment banking, private equity and entrepreneurship. Before joining TGAS, Ms. Khau led the successful expansion of her family business’ operations from Europe to Asia Pacific, establishing new sales channels and production centres in Singapore and Hong Kong as the Managing Director of Asia operations.
Prior to that, Ms. Khau expanded the footprint of the largest private sector group in Vietnam through fund raising from private equity firms and other financial institutions, managing investor relations, and leading value accretive acquisitions for the group in Vietnam’s fast growing consumer space. Ms Khau started her career in AXA Private Equity and subsequently joined the investment banking arm of BNP Paribas in Singapore.
Ms. Lee was previously the Group Chief Operating Officer of Weike (S) Pte Ltd where she was instrumental in setting up policies, improving and re-defining the group’s processes and operating procedures whilst assisting the Chairman to oversee the day-to-day operations.
Prior to that, Ms. Lee held various senior positions such as CFO and executive director of various listed companies in Singapore. She brings with her a strong sense of corporate governance, managing change and setting up various accounting systems, costing methods, transfer pricing policies whilst participating in various commercial areas including but not limited to project evaluation and management, contracts negotiation, due diligence and managing both capital and operating finance.
